JukSeong 죽성

It translates into "bamboo castle" or "bamboo wall." This was an area used for the landing of troops a few miles south of this place and a staging area for the 7-Year Japanese Invasion War of 1592 임진왜란. Now, over 400 years later, these areas are dotted with small seaport fishing villages and seafood restaurants.

































Gyeongju 경주

Gyeongju 경주 was the only capital of Sila, 신라, Kingdom for almost 1,000 years (BC57-AD935).

This was where the Gyeongju Kim clan was first established by Michoowang, the 13th king of Sila, the first Sila king from the Kim clan.



This is where we ate our lunch. A very good restaurant with few menus. We had Chu-Eo-Tang 추어탕 and Fish Stew 생선찌게. Both were good.
